  • Abstract
Minimum harmonics production is one of the most important specifications of the Reactive Power compensators. To improve power quality, we need to design the compensators to compensate reactive power additionally the minimum harmonics production is desired. In this paper, we will discuss simultaneously reactive power compensating and harmonic reduction by controlling the fire angles of TSC and TCR, which are the most important FACTS for reactive power controlling. Also neural networks have been used in order to determine firing angles and to increase operation speed.
