  • Abstract
In this paper, a novel realisation of determination of junction temperature of laser diode arrays operating under quasi continuous conditions is presented. A computer controlled measurement set-up for junction temperature measurements is presented where a laser array (LA) is placed on a TEC cooler that stabilises a heat sink temperature at 18°C. The output radiation is launched to a monochromator via a beam concentrator and an optical fibre. The presented results demonstrate the utility of the method for determination of junction temperature of laser diode arrays operating under Q-CW conditions.
