Abstract :
Through Devanthan hydrogen permeation tests and a mathematical analysis, the retarding effect of electrolytic deposition ZrO2 oxide films on the hydrogen embrittlement or entry has been investigated. The permeation test has indicated that the diffusion coefficient without oxide film Dm(1.46×10-8 cm2/s) has been reduced to DZr(8.81×10-16 cm2/s) with ZrO 2 oxide film and the surface hydrogen concentration Ch m (2.06×10-5 mol/cm3) has been reduced to Chm (0.76×10-6 mol/cm3) by the oxide film and a high concentration ratio constant K (3.5×103)
