Abstract :
Through systemization and standardization of component object models of manufacturer products, complete system simulation models can be easily fabricated and used to assess performance of various competing vendor components without actually building the complete system. Such object models would be used to assess whether a given collection of integrated components will achieve the performance objectives of the ultimate product. To support the fabrication of complete system simulation models consisting of vendor-developed component models, a simulation shell is proposed that conforms to a specification language
