Abstract :
Kansei engineering has been found an effective methodology to deal with customers´ feelings, demands and images of various products related with daily life. In this paper, the technique of Kansei engineering was applied to the research on the style of women´s overcoats for the purpose of finding out the relationship between customers´ feelings and design elements. Women´s overcoats were chosen as research objects. By card system, 6 word-pair were chosen to establish the semantic space. The product elements space, containing 7 items and 25 categories, was established by shape analytical method. In the step of synthesis, the relationship between the two spaces was studied and quantified. Though regression analysis, some useful parameters were obtained, as R-square, category score and range, and used to explain the reliability of the regression and influences of the each category and each item on perception judgment
