Abstract
Attitude tracking control problem for rigid spacecraft is investigated in this paper. A new simple controller composed of a PD part and an additional term is proposed to tackle this problem. The controller presented here is globally convergent for spacecraft attitude tracking control in the presence of parameter uncertainty and external disturbances. The convergence of the proposed controller is proven theoretically. The influence of measurement noises is also estimated. Numerical simulations are included to demonstrate the performance of the developed controller
