Abstract
Starting control is the key issue in the development of automated mechanical transmission(AMT). Based on the analysis of the control principle for keeping the engine speed instant, this paper presents another method to keep the engine speed instant while starting by controlling the engine torque. With the coordinate control of the engine and clutch, this control strategy can help the vehicle reduce slipping work, limit the jerk and accomplish the driver´s intentions. These advantages above are validated by simulation.
