Abstract :
In order to improve machining quality and the efficiency of steam turbine blade, an improved acceleration/deceleration (ACC/DEC) interpolation algorithm based on the NURBS curve is proposed according to blade curvature radius great change. The algorithm took chord error and acceleration into consideration for the high-speed and high-accuracy machining. ACC/DEC control is used when the radius of curvature sharp changes. The experimental results are provided that feed speed can not only satisfy the ACC/DEC demand, but also be adapted to the curve´s curvature. It can ensure the accuracy and reduce the impact on machine.
