Abstract :
In this paper, the submarine cable in offshore wind farm chosen as context and taking YJV32 XLPE insulate power cable as prototype, the submarine power cable model and power cable system fault simulation circuit is established with PSCAD/EMTDC by modulus analysis. At different neutral point grounding modes of transformer (direct grounding, low resistance grounding, petersen coil grounding and no grounding), the current waveform and zero-sequence current in power cable faults of single-phase-to-ground, double-phase-to-ground, three-phase-to-ground are completely simulated and analysed. The simulation result indicated that in different grounding modes, at the state of fault, the zero-sequence current waveform contains abundance of high-frequency information and distinct feature information.
