Abstract :
In spite of fast progress of diode pumped picosecond solid-state lasers, up to now there is a lack of tuneable parametric picosecond systems pumped by such lasers. The new EKSPLA picosecond laser PL2210 with 4 mJ output energy allows us to get the optical parametric generation from blue to mid-IR. Two optical parametric generator/amplifier (OPG/OPA) schemes were investigated. In the first scheme the OPG was pumped by the second harmonic of laser radiation. The second OPG/OPA scheme was pumped by the third harmonic of laser radiation. To summarize, the possibility to get a picosecond parametric generation from 420 nm to 10 μm was demonstrated in different schemes pumped by 1 kHz repetition rate picosecond pulses from Nd:YAG regenerative amplifier.
