Abstract :
The paper describes a specialized software program developed by members of the Neighborhood Living Project at the University of Oregon´s Specialized Training Program. The Neighborhood Living Project engages in research and development targeted at improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities who receive community-based residential services in settings such as group homes or apartments. The software is known as the neighborhood living project decision support system (NLPDSS). NLPDSS is one component of a larger model, the valued outcomes information system (VOIS), which shows staff members of residential programs how to provide high-quality services to individuals with severe disabilities
