Abstract
Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. advances development of robots for constructions of power distribution system. As first, we developed a manipulator which can work in 20 kV class hot-line with insulated arms for the first time in Japan. We also developed equipment and tools of the manipulator in order to improve economical effect and work efficiency. At present, we have introduced manipulator method of construction which enables us to work efficiently and safely in the 20 kV class overhead distribution line directly, and adopt it when replacing LP insulators or installing a bypassing cable.
