Abstract :
Knowledge engineering (KE) is playing an important part in product development field. With the development of artificial intelligence, the knowledge engineering is developing fast too. This paper made a comparison of different conception of knowledge engineering and knowledge based engineering (KBE), and studied on the application situation of KE and KBE. The main content of KE is also studied to express knowledge reuse. Finally, the projects of KE supported by National Nature Science Foundation of China during the past 10 years are studied to demonstrate the research status and degree of KE.
