Abstract :
The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. has been developing the automatic meter reading system adopting automatic routing technology utilizing wireless communication called "PHS transceiver mode". The automatic routing technology is technology to create a network called "Route map" automatically on the basis of electric field strength information among objects, and transmit data of those objects on the network by data coupling transmission method. Characteristics of the automatic meter reading system that used this technology are adapting to change of the electric wave environment automatically, and being able to collect the meter data of each electricity meter without missing the data. As a result of field tests by installing this system in two different characteristic areas, it could be confirmed that this system worked adequately in both areas.
