Abstract
Mechanism is the main device of machine to execute mechanical motion, its type and complexity are closely related to machine performance, costs, manufacturing process, useful time, functional reliability and etc. Therefore, mechanism design is extremely important in the whole process of mechanical design. In the actual engineering, mechanism design is diverse and complex. The most fundamental problem to be solved by designer is how to choose the best mechanism scheme according to the requirement of design. In this paper, we set up the unascertained measure model of mechanism decision-making upon the design requirements of a steel rolling company on the shearing mechanism of flying shears. On the basis of the unascertained measure space, evaluation standards were established in accordance with the order of evaluated space, and the quality rank among mechanism schemes was conducted. Through quantitative analysis on qualitative problems, the uncertainty in the design process was solved effectively.
