Abstract :
It is essential to modeling and generating the background traffic in constellation networks simulation. A framework of generating of fractal shot noise driven Poisson process based aggregated flow level traffic for constellation networks was described in this article. In the model, the flow rate fluctuation was characterized by the BER of inter-satellite links and the congestion control strategy. In contrast to the widely used statistics based models and user behavior based models, our method can generate self-similar traffic according the network dynamics and the protocol dynamics
