Abstract :
A simple frame subtraction architecture based on switched-current circuits for real-time object tracking is presented in this paper. Current copier cells hold previous frame data as components of frame subtraction units (FSUs). The proposed scheme is simple and optimized for 32 × 32 pixels. The circuit was designed and simulated as a proof of the concept with a 0.18-¿m complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) N-well process with an area of 125 × 85 ¿m2 and it operates with 3.3 V.
