Abstract :
This paper introduces a multi-rope hoist wire rope tension on-line monitoring system, which is used to monitor the tension of multi-rope hoist wire rope in real time, thus to calculate the real hoisting load and tension difference. This system can alert and avoid accidents such as severe tension imbalance and over loading. In addition, this paper analyses reasons of tension imbalance on the basis of field data, offering theory evidence for measures of improving tension imbalance.
