Abstract :
The feasibility of co-digestion of turf cutting litter and sewage sludge was investigated. The cutting litter were mixed with the sewage sludge at the ratio of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%, respectively, based on the dry mass. Under thermophilic anaerobic condition, the gas production rose with the increase of cutting litter ratio. When the cutting litter ratio was 50%, the digestion system produced gas of 348L/Kg.TS, 30% more than that produced with sewage sludge only. The result shows that co-digestion of turf cutting litter and sewage sludge is feasible.
