Abstract :
A novel digital controller for a permanent magnet brushless DC motor using dedicated control ICs MC 33035 and MC 33039 is discussed. The ICs dramatically simplify the design of the motor control systems, reduce the required circuit area and parts count. Shorter design times and improved system design are the added benefits. The hardware implementation of the drive is presented. A prototype of the controller is constructed and tested with the brushless DC motor. The experimental results are discussed
