Abstract
The trend of lowering the supply voltages to 3.3 V of mixed analog-digital VLSI circuits has renewed the interest in current-mode signal processing, which employs current as signal parameter and therefore minimizes voltage swings. Some old, and several recently published current-mode circuits are reviewed. A novel circuit coined COS (current-mode output stage) is introduced
