Abstract
A local feedback transconductor is known as a linear transconductor. It is necessary to employ a single-end converter circuit in order to realize linear characteristics. However, if the transconductor is applied to a gyrator active filter, two differential output terminals are needed. Then, the transfer characteristics of the active filter are not linear. In this paper, a new local feedback transconductor that has linear characteristics without the single-end converter circuit is proposed. The proposed circuit is applied to active filters. The characteristic is analyzed by the simulation with circuit simulation software. As a result of simulation, it is confirmed that the linearity of the proposed circuit is superior to the conventional circuit.
