Abstract :
The design considerations and performance of a two-stage MMIC amplifier are presented. Design for ease of application and high overall yield was emphasized. The amplifier was realized on a 0.054"×0.054\´×0.004\´ die using TriQuint\´s standard 0.5 μm process. First iteration results show 10 dB gain, P1 dB of 18 dBm, Psat of 20 dBm, and better than 8.5 dB return loss across the band
