Abstract :
The paper is based on the difference between the performance of single phase diode bridge rectifier and the front-end converter in terms of the Total harmonic distortion of the line current. It also contains the solution of the voltage control loop by two methods named Unity Modulus Method and Ziegler-Nichols method. The parameters obtained with the help of both the methods are compared with the help of mathematical model in simulink (MATLAB). A programming file is also generated in MATLAB and from the same step response and Nyquist plots are obtained for system control loops.
