Abstract :
With the rapid pace of industrialization its effect on the global environment is becoming more evident by the day. Power consumption being one of the most easily controllable parameter, every effort made to save power can help us move forward to a sustainable future. In this course of action if the `Sensex´ which defines the market performance of a company can be related to its contribution to world´s green revolution it can lead towards obligating any industry to employ `go-green´ mechanisms wherever possible. But how can stocks relate to the green revolution? - is the idea described in this paper. Instead of making value of the stocks dependent solely on market demand and supply, it can also be integrate with a company´s power saving capacity as one of the dependency. This paper aims to analyze this approach followed by a proposed solution on power monitoring and management.
