Abstract :
In this research, we develop human assistance robot system, which uses interactive GUI for supporting robot operation to acquire target book from bookshelf. Interactive functions of service robotic system are indispensability because robot has not enough capability in recognition and judgment in performing a service task. The user can use interactive GUI to select a target book and then robot system performs task autonomously. When the robot system fails to work because of some errors such as misrecognition, the user can teach robot system how to perform its task. The proposed system used robot technology middleware (RTM) as platform, which enables system to have high flexibility. This paper presents the developed system architecture and introduces some experimental results.
