  • Abstract
The last few years, as we have witnessed, the traffic density has increased largely in the urban areas. One of the main reasons for the growth of technology, today, is the advances in communication and the traveling facilities. But, due to the traffic congestion, traveling has become very time consuming, and this is a problem as man cannot afford to spend a lot time traveling. Hence an effective route guidance system is the need of the hour. This paper attempts to build such a system based on a few simple, but effective algorithms in determining the quickest path. The system proposed in this paper uses the already existing technologies of GPS and GSM in solving the problem.
