Contemporary college students are mainly positive, healthy and optimistic in terms of morality and ideology, and they all recognize the mainstream values. However, some tend to ignore social morality but possess strong self-consciousness, competition sense and utilitarianism as well as money consciousness and open view of love, and these are the basic situation of moral outlooks for contemporary students. With the further development of our market economy and opening-up, the characteristics of those outlooks, stability, autonomy, initiative, monism and pragmatic coexisting with volatility, belongingness, passivity, pluralism and ideality respectively, are revealed.
