  • Abstract
A new hybrid permanent magnet motor combining permanent magnet with excitation windings is tested, which can weaken or strengthen the magnet flux control by adjusting the field winding current. In this paper, by analyzing regulation principle of the magnetic field and control theory obtained with both advantages of the permanent magnet DC machines and easy to get magnetic flux control, successfully solved the weakening speed permanent magnet motor problem. Experiments show that can significantly improve the operating performance of the motor and meet the electric vehicle drive in the start, climbing, acceleration, driving the need for different working conditions.
