Considering the flexibility of work hard decision-making, this paper applies the real-option to study the faculty incentive mechanism problems in University. Through analyzing the value of flexible work hard decision, some optimal flexible decision-making rules of the teachers are given. Meanwhile, the paper analyzes the influence of two factors upon the effort decision, which include the volatility and the effort cost. The results show the threshold of incentive strengthen factor considering the flexible effort decision is higher than without considering it. The threshold will increases (or decrease) with the increasing (or decreasing) of volatility and effort cost.
