Abstract :
Based on the process of batch planning in a ERW (Electric Resistance Weld ) pipe manufacturing enterprise, an optimization model for batch planning is researched with the Theory of Constraints and an effective algorithm based on the genetic algorithm (GA) is offered according to the characteristic of optimization problem. Finally, an actual example is provided to validate the proposed model. The results proved in this paper is useful and practical in improving batch planning.
