  • Abstract
The hydrogenerator´s self-excitation problem must be taken into consideration seriously in the process of charging no-load long transmission line when implementing black-start for the important power plant in a regional power network which occurs blackout. This paper we propose a new way to simulate the unit´s self-excitation when charging no-load long line with the use of Power System Analysis Software Package. Then this method is applied to a practical black-start path that Baoquan hydropower plant starts Fenghe thermal power plant. And the simulation result is verified right through the practical impedance comparison criterion for judging self-excitation.
