Abstract
This paper shows analysis and synthesis of a sliding mode controller for a nonlinear discrete time system with a delayed and lossy feedback. The controller compensates the delay and loss, and guarantees a bounded tracking error. The controller has a self tuning property, which makes it possible to synthesize the controller without knowing the delay variation and loss rate of the feedback.
