Abstract :
For development of a new type of railway bogie, a designer provides parameters such as stiffness rates of springs and dumping coefficients of dumpers, for ride comfort and safety. However, we occasionally detect that the performance of the new railway bogie does not meet the requirement as designed. We presume that such as bogie frame stiffness and spring or dumper bracket stiffness influences the arranged parameters. Therefore, it is essential for us to re-identify the parameters including the bogie frame stiffness and the bracket stiffness and modify those parameters. In this case, lateral acceleration measurement is inaccurate due to cross axis sensitivity influenced by vertical accelerations more than 100 times as many are as lateral one does. Then we propose that lateral acceleration measurement under a certain environment, where vertical accelerations are satisfactorily reducible, and developing an appropriate device.
