Title :
Novel adaptive clock for TDM over IP networks
Abstract :
A fast initial clock acquisition (frequency discrepancy compensation) solution is desired for transport of TDM over packet switched networks. The proposed solution consists of two stages. First, an innovative rapid frequency acquisition is performed. Then, when the frequency discrepancy between the clocks is brought to a predetermined acquisition error tolerance, the frequency tracking stage takes over, producing steady and exact regenerated service clock while relying on the jitter-buffer momentary fill level.
