Abstract :
For a large-scale, complicated and continuous industrial process, such as a rotary cement kiln, it is usually effective to combine automatic control and production guidance. Furthermore, modern techniques of multimedia and expert systems fully optimize human efforts under the guidance of the expert system. A real-time expert production guidance system using multimedia in the cement industry is described in this paper. The fuzzy data processing, knowledge base, database, self-learning mechanism, and sets of operation rules in the system are discussed. The system has been in successful operation in a cement company in China
