Abstract :
Upon detailed analyzes of cycle scanning time of PLC and the message transaction cycle time of PROFIBUS, a analytical model is set up to estimate the response time between master PLC and intelligent slave, and the corresponding formula is given. The impact of system response time on the model is discussed with a distributed control system.
