Abstract :
Controlling the temperature in a rotary kiln is considered as a difficult problem in the automatic control field. This paper presents a rotary kiln intelligent control system based on flame image processing, with the features of the flame and clinker as the major feedback signal. An intelligent fuzzy control (IFC) algorithm simulating human behaviour is employed as the automatic control algorithm, which has good robustness and adaptability. A two-level computer system is adopted to realize the automatic control and management of the rotary kiln clinkering process, which has excellent performance
