Abstract :
This paper deals with the hardware system structure and integration software system structure for an Industrial PC based open NC system. The feature-based global uniform data model is discussed in detail. Based on the data model, an integrated software system structure which supports the process from design to manufacturing is introduced and a CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system for rotational parts is built. The integrated manufacturing for rotational parts can be efficiently realized in this open NC system based integration system.
