Automatic meter reading system based on power line communication of LonWorks

Automatic meter reading system (AMRS) based on power line communication (PLC) of LonWorks is built up. The power line carrier collector receives pulses from measuring meters, and gets the real quantities which are then transmitted to power line router through power line. The power line router connects to LonWorks bus. iLON600 is a gateway between Internet and LonWorks control network, which leads to communication between PC and power line carrier collector come true. KingView is used for automatic meter reading management configuration software on PC. The experimental results show that the proposed system has qualities of stability and practicability.
