Abstract :
A tube furnace test system for heat transfer of two-phase fluids is developed in this work. For the preparation of Al2O3-water fluids, an ultrasonic vibrator is used to help get two-phase fluids with good stability. The experimental parameters, such as particle size, flow rate and furnace temperature are considered to obtain the characteristics of heat transfer of Al2O3-water fluids in flow conditions. Through the analysis of the changes between Nu and Re of fluids under different circumstances, the following conclusions can be gotten for the Al2O3-water fluids. The heat transfer performance is enhanced with the flow rate increasing. Adding Al2O3 into water can strengthen the heat transfer performance of fluids to some extent, the largest difference of Nu between Al2O3-water fluids and pure water is about 30%. The smaller the particle size of the two-phase the better the heat transfer performance. The higher the furnace temperature the more the heat transfer performance is enhanced. The results can provide references on two-phase fluids to be used successfully in industry.
