Abstract :
This is to report a simple one-step electrochemical deposition method for preparation of enzyme modified titanium-containing mesoporous molecular sieve TiSBA-15/chitosan (CHIT) composites on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for biosensing. TiSBA-15/CHIT composites possessed excellent biocompatibility and led to the enclosed proteins in a well defined space remaining its bioactivity effectively. As a model protein, glucose oxidase (GOD) immobilized in TiSBA-15/CHIT film displayed direct electrochemistry and showed good response towards oxidation of glucose in the presence of oxygen. The good biocompatibility of TiSBA-15 means that this immobilization matrix not only can be used for immobilizing GOD but also can be extended to other enzymes or bioactive molecules, thus providing a promising platform for the development of biosensors.
