Abstract :
This paper presents our ongoing work for analyzing the power of the fuzzy texture spectrum for obtaining the patterns that determine the presence of some kind of structure within an image. Specifically, the system here proposed exploits the advantages of fuzzy techniques for obtaining the fuzzy texture spectrum patterns having outstanding power for getting stripes´ image characterization. Based on the analysis of the frequencies of the structured patterns in a set of training images, and applying fuzzy rules, we get the stripes´ patterns and the degree to which an image, or an image part, is stripe.
