Abstract :
This paper describes the concept of dynamical systems with multi-resolution, which is called here ldquomulti-resolved dynamical systems (MRDS),rdquo from the view point of control for large scale dynamical systems including complex systems, multi-scale systems, and hierarchical interconnected systems. We show several existing examples in control, which can be captured by the notion of MRDS and propose a new framework for dynamical system theory. Several interesting research topics are listed, and the future research approaches toward establishing the multi-resolved dynamical system theory are discussed.
