Abstract
An approach to support business process modeling for business operations environments is described. The approach integrates, modifies and extends modeling concepts used for analysis, design and monitoring of industrial process control systems. Examples from the telecommunications service industry illustrate how the modeling concepts can be used to create a business process model to support operational decision-making
