Abstract
Design of a broadband filter using broad side coupled line sections in suspended substrate stripline (SSS) medium, suitable for ultra wideband (UWB) applications has been reported in this paper. Broad side coupled line parameters and ground plane spacing have been appropriately chosen to locate the two attenuation poles close to either side of the desired pass band. Effect of ground plane spacing on the filter´s bandwidth has also been studied. Experimental results of a UWB filter designed using the present technique have been verified against the simulation results
