  • Abstract
Presents a research project using digital image analysis techniques for beef steak grading. The research contributes a robust approach for object boundary detection, which is effective for identifying objects of very irregular shapes in noisy digital images. The research also contributes an image analysis system for automated beef steak grading, which is of great application significance. In this paper, the boundary detection approach is described in detail, the system is described, and experimental results are presented and analyzed
