Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the remote control problem where the measurements at multiple sensors are transmitted to a remote controller over separate communication channels. The channels are unreliable in that messages are randomly lost. Several conditions are obtained on the loss probabilities for achieving stochastic stability of the controlled system. The results clarify the limitations imposed by the unstable dynamics of the plant and the constraints in communication.
