Abstract
In this paper we present our first practical experiences with our online process monitoring and simulation tool BatchMon. The tool is applied to a pilot plant of a German chemical company to evaluate the current implementation status and to demonstrate the functionality of the underlying concept. Furthermore, we discuss some directions of development to improve the tool and to enhance the existing operator support and simulation facilities
