Abstract :
This paper investigates the sensitivity analysis of orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) systems to carrier frequency offset (CFO) in the uplink. This analysis uses simple superposition principle approach, where the effects of different users are studied separately. We calculate a closed-form expression for signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) and derive very simple expressions for inter-carrier interference (ICI) and multiple access interference (MAI) in interleaved subcarrier allocation scheme. Finally theoretical results are verified using Monte Carlo simulation.
